Ilar is known for his delicate, contemplative style of techno, as heard on his releases for Echocord, Shitkatapult and Kompakt. It's a style

that's particularly appealing to Chris Yard, the Portland-based producer who will release Stories of Old on his label Yard Rec.

The new LP will feature six new tracks by Ilar, plus remixes by Yard and Adam Johnson. It will mark Ilar's second

full-length this year to be released on an imprint from the Pacific Northwest; his last album, Vidare, was

released on cassette via Seattle's Further Records.

Always liked what he's put out, so will end up getting it sometime. The track on the Yard rec site is indeed really nice.
