Guest Babar
Once I told my psychiatrist (a woman) i was listening to electronic music. She immediately asked me if I liked jarre. I told here i thought it was shit. Then i asked her if she was listening to him. soundwave
saw him last night in Manchester which I recorded (audio) then then just recorded the audio from this transmission good to see him back to form tho I wish he'd bring some new shit out although he still doesn't have a recording contract after the EMI/Oxygene revisited fiasco and he doesn't even own the rights to his original albums after falling out with Sony/Dreyfus Edited October 10, 2010 by soundwave Thanks Haha Confused Sad Facepalm Burger Farnsworth Big Brain Like × Quote Link to comment https://forum.watmm.com/topic/60422-jean-michel-jarre/#findComment-1433649 Share on other sites

Guest hydrozone
I don't get the fuss about this guy. Ok, Oxygen or Equinoxe were ok back in the days, but the rest is just a pile of variety crap. With such means, how can his music still sound so cheap? It's beyond me. Ok, Oxygen or Equinoxe were ok back in the days, but the rest is just a pile of variety crap. 'Zoolook' is also a very good (and very strange) album. And I think 'Oxygene 7-13' is actually really great too -I've never understood why it gets dismissed. No.11 and 12 are surprisingly dark and abstract. I wish he did that kind of thing more. Jean Michel Jarre is the most confusing artist I know. On the one hand, he's produced a lot of junk, but the odd album or track can blow me away when I'm in a receptive mood. But 'Teo and Tea'... what was going on THERE?
