Yeah that was the track that use to excite me the most off Electro-soma. The tension just before that track dropped on the record was huge. Epic!

Oh I don't think it gets any more epic than this tune!

If you like B12 then check out Stasis. He use to record some stuff on their label B12 Records. That man had some serious talent. The most recent B12 record actually sounded pretty decent but I haven't finished listening to all of it.

i heard a little bit of stasis. i discovered him through B12. i REALLY liked what i heard (can't remember what i heard though) i'd take any recommendations for Stasis. i'm not sure where to even begin.

electro soma is pretty much perfect when it comes to "idm" (as the style was at the time, when the term was MUCH more narrow). Timetourist was a beautiful follow-up. i love both of them, plus the practopia EP. i also have a collection of b sides they made as cmetric/redcell/2001/Musicology. they also have a lot of archive releases. you really can't go wrong with them

@the metropolis track - that really reminds me of timesplitters

B12 are awesome! I wonder what they're up to because their activity with their label basically stopped around September of last year. Maybe their working on a new album, which, would be nice.

ah mate, i really wish they would make another record!!

and STASIS as well. love the man

Statis' album 'Inspiration' is fantastic. Definitely B12-like, in a good way!

Also check out Phenomyna's album 'Unexplained' -- it's the same guy, Steve Pickton.

Whatever happened to him?

I'd also check out Stasis' album 'From The Old To The New' and the anthology of Steve's stuff from loads of his pseudonyms called 'Past Movements' (both on Peacefrog Records). He also had a album on Op-Art as Paul W. Teebrooke called 'Connections', which is nice too.
