Doesn't punch as hard as I want it to. It grooves and stuff, but it doesn't grab me by the nuts or anything. The part at 1:50 sounds sort of cheesy. I don't understand the purpose of the last minute and a half. Seems like you could fade it out around 2:45 instead of going on and use that synth stuff in a different part of the track.

Yeah, I'm not ecstatic about the synth on the upbeat. I just don't know how to write 4-on-the-floor stuff honestly, which is why I tried it. I don't listen to the stuff and I definitely don't make it usually.

Thanks gents.

If I end up throwing this on a release I'll probably cut out the 4-on-the-floor part and replace it with something else equally contrasting to the first part and much better. The outro will most likely remain, though maybe with some more interesting filter automation.

I used to have this neat sound that happened instead of that upbeat synth, but then I found out that what I changed completely fucked up my bass part (I was using the same synth for both.), so I changed it back and did something else.

I'll be doing more 303/909 combo stuff in the future. This is my first actual track using them (plugins of course, but still).
