i got drugks on vinyl recently[sans sleeve![fuck!} and it'd amazing but not as memorable as rdj

RDJ Album was my favorite for a while. Especially Carn Marth, and I never see this track mentioned at all. Why? It wails!

first time i listened to drukqs i totally didn't get it and wrote it off as not very good. i did give it more chance cause i knew i was probably missing something, aphex twin and all.

I thought it was a fairly popular opinion to prefer RDJ Album over Drukqs. I for one share that opinion.

apples oranges...i for one connect more with drukqs + its double the fun

every aphex release for me has songs that arent great that take away from the overall quality of the album.. remove those songs and they become masterpieces. drukqs has a lot of them. my drukqs playlist ends up getting narrowed down to like 14 songs.

rdj album only has two that i can live without. i would rate rdj as a more legendary album overall just because the warm dreamy analog sounds take the front seat while in druqks the loud crazy glitched beats are the main focus. dont get me wrong the beats are amazing but the melodies are my favorite thing by far about aphex's music.

rdj album sounds laptopy. I guess that means has a flatter sound with less depth. Drukqs for me. He's playing a midi prepared piano for fucks sake and making incredible melodies. Not some avant garde a clue johnny one note concept art
