Beer company Foster’s is sponsoring a new series of 12 short Partridge shows for the internet, which will appear online from Friday, November 5.

The film is moving slowly according to Armando Ianucci, but it's definitely in the works. And not a story about Alan trying to break America, thank God.

But while we wait for that Alan's sold-out and has produced 12 11-minute shows for Fosters (or something). Featuring Tim Key, the poet from Screenwipe. There's a trailer on YouTube, but I'm at work so you'll have to find that yourself.

As brilliant as the Alan Partridge stuff was, I'm not sure how much life's left in it now if the film is on the cards. But then again, Armando Ianucci can't really do much wrong. More looking forward to the new series of 'The Thick Of It'.

Alan Partridge is funny whatever he does. The only way a film could fail is if he didn't stay true to the character.

I was going to create a "We all love The Day Today thread so lets watch some more" but this seems like a good place.

  • 1 month later...

As it goes, I've really liked this web-series. Little bursts of Partridge are simply perfect as he's a character made for soundbites (he's intentionally written that way).

I guess there's a break in the series over Christmas or something, but the episodes have been consistently good so far.
