Tim Exile and Native Instruments present "The Mouth"

That's pretty awesome. Though mainly due to Mr Exile's production on that demo track/video itself.

EDIT: Keynius.

I haven't eaten a Wagon Wheel since 07/11/07... ilovecubus.co.uk - 25ml of mp3 taken twice daily.

nice i've been waiting for someone to 'cover' Kantos ever since it went out of production. Took a long time!

5 stars. Yes the next kantos, I can finally stop having it crash on me, and I assume this will track a LOT better, as kantos is a bit "sloppy" though this is nice sometimes.

And agreed, every new product should have an interesting video/demo such as this.

does the Finger even do pitch tracking ? i might have jumped the gun there

The Finger is just a Sugar Bytes Artillery wanna-be. But yes The Mouth does pitch tracking.

You can download the manual off thier site. One hidden feature not mentioned in the video is midi output infact :) Go ahead and route your voice to your fav synth.

Pitch tracking works in beats mode as well, so if you were to "beatbox" it tracks lower sounds like kicks and higher sounds to hi hats etc.

never tried Artillery, that's cool that it outputs midi. I wonder if it's a more advanced pitch tracking algorithm than what we've seen so far.

I'm not really feeling this release. Aside from the beat box arpgeggiator (which wasn't demonstrated very thoroughly) and the convenient vocal to MIDI conversion I don't see a whole lot to get excited about.

Actually, what would be a really cool would be some sort of formant shifting for the harmonization feature.

Also; I'm gonna give him points for effort, but that song is cheese.
