soundwave
this beast has always fascinated me especially when a DX7 was my first synth its also one of those things that obviously requires a little patience to get the best out of it anyone have or use one? whats the third party software like? is it inspiring to use or just good one of those bits of kit thats unique yet tends to be left alone a lot of the time? jeyemusik
i could've sworn there was another thread about the FS1r in here that I responded to but I can't find it. Anyway, I have one and it's an excellent synth. It will really suck the life if you try to do any programming without a software editor. Which is why for a good number of years I didn't get the best use. I'd need to check my music laptop to see which app it is I use now but it makes it much more user friendly. It's weird though because it's harder work to get "out there" sounds than you would expect, i actually find it quite easy to get standard issue FM stuff - i personally enjoy working with it but it depends on your mindset and i have to be "in the mood" in which case it's great fun. so, not a "go to synth" but one that i'd never sell.
