Well if it was a Big Bang (no matter what size) shouldn't it be expanding to a never ending size and consuming our universe?

I guess they just mean to say they recreated temps never before seen since the Big Bang?

Going to end up blowing the universe up and making another one in its place, where in 13 billion years they shall make a hadron collider....

LMAO I like this theory.

The thing about scientific journalism is that it really needs to be written by a scientist. But then it wouldn't be very interesting to read(most of the time).

do you think only musicians should be allowed to write music reviews? that would be nice

That would be cool. But its not really a fair comparison. Music is all about opinions, no ones opinion can be wrong so you can pretty much write anything and get away with it. You might not get praise as a good journalist but you cant be wrong. Science isnt about opinions, its about facts. Things are far more black and white, theres a little room for opinion but hardly anyway. And journalists are gay and like to make things sound exciting rather that telling it as it is.

do you consider music a science or an art?

Sound is a science, music is an art.

"The experiment created temperatures a million times hotter than the centre of the Sun."

Holy shit! How do they keep something like that contained?? Is there a good site with more info about the process and how it all works? (Aside from Google, smart-ass.)

Centre of the sun isnt every hot. In fact, relative to the surface of the sun, its quite cold.

You know how you can touch something hot enough to burn you but if you pull away quick enough you don't get burned?

The temperatures only existed for a zillionth of a second.
