Equalizing problem

I've run into a problem. I want to do some EQing on a track that I just rendered to remove some nasty freqs.

only problem is that some of the chords merge into each other (its an ambient track)

and I hate the fact that in a wav editing program all you can do is make a selection and EQ only the selected part. This is a problem because EQ'ing one chord will take some of those frequencies out of the start of the next chord. :(

assuming that you guys have also run into this prob, which is the best program for live EQing?

with cubase sx, you can automate the eq sweeps..

what i would suggest, however is a frequency specific compressor.

that way, you can compress down the harsh frequencies without losing too much else.

a good multiband shou;ld do the job.

eeeuu, not sure i'm ready for a multiband yet....

...A parametric should do the trick though right? :smiling:

I was told that the purpose of a ParaEQ is to remove single frequencies.
