RIP Henryk Gorecki

One of my favourite composers, really sad that he's died. Symphony of Sorrowful Songs is an absolutely amazing piece of music.

Just knocking together a mix to sleep to right now and I'd put the first and third movements of his Olden Style Pieces on there just before I read this. RIP.

Him dying is the one thing that could possibly make his music sadder than it already is.

Never liked the guy's music but he was a pretty important figure. Quite a loss for the contemporary art world.

'lento - sostenuto tranquillo ma cantabile' is quite possibly my favourite piece of music; intensely moving. rip in peace.

Am I the only one who sometimes hears Gorecki style chords and chord progressions when listening to Autechre?
