Emmanuel Jal

I want to start getting into Emmanuel Jal. Addmittedly I only got intereted initially because of the Kuar EP.

2 remixes, one by Henrik Schwartz and the other by Olof Dreijer. But the two are fucking unreal.

Doubt it's lack of interest it's just that no one knows who he is.....

And yea that ep is incredible, Olof has such a minimal approach but the atmosphere/richness of sound he can create with such a simple style is amazing. In terms of conveying images he's as effective as Flying Lotus with his space themes but Olof doesn't need 100's of different instruments spazzing out simultaneously.

Also Emmanuel Jal was a child soldier who survived to become a Dj and to undo the suffering which he endured....... which is so pwnage.
