Mobile (cell) phone unlocking

What kinda software would you need to unlock a nokia phone? I dont want to pay 20e because the phone isnt even worth that much.

After a quick google, most of the sites seem pretty doddgy.

Anyone ever had success with this?

yes, a couple of years ago. it's highly dependent on the model.

can't remember what site i used, though.

when you say unlock, do you mean SIM unlock? or firmware unlock?

yeah, that would be a SIM unlock. €20 for a SIM unlock seems a bit steep.

some phones, you can enter a manufacturer code into the phone and unlock it, but i don't believe it's been possible to do that for a number of years now.

there used to be a mobile phone stall in the town in Burton-on-Trent, and the guy would do SIM unlocks for a tenner. this is 3 years ago.

iirc almost any of the small chinese-owned internet cafes in ireland will do this for you chassis, the going rate is a tenner here too.

Might have to do it. I know a shop that would do it for a tenner. But the phone isnt even worth a tenner
