Come to Seattle and get lucky or find a time machine and travel back to early to mid ninetys with shit loads of cash and befriend Grant via Usenet are the only ways I figure. Rephlex test pressings were only done in batches of 6 or 10 depending on the time period (change of companies doing the test pressings) and even then sold for crazy amounts. My friend ripping them would be a betrayal of his own friendships unfortunately. But yeah, I'm a troll so whatever ;p

It was me (keyfumbler) who recorded Squarepusher playing this track live at Warp20, Sheffield. So we can draw a few conclusions - besides the fact that its an ace tune:

1)Squarepusher produced it before 02... and passed it on to RDJ who played it at his italian 02 set.

2) RDJ produced it .. played it in 2002 and passed it onto squarepusher who a) forgot it wasn't his b) simply played it not caring who's it was

3) Mike dred produced it ... and both RDJ and squarepusher played it

I think 1) is more likely... but 2/3 are damn interesting scenarios if true. Are they all just sharing three-guys-one-track pals or is Tom a robbing bastard? If he is... fair play to him for being a musical/genious/theiving prick OR a mad-dimwit/musical genious.

Either way someones been smoking a massive doob.

PS.... Squarepusher plays about 4 RDJ ROme 2002 tracks @ Warp20.. one of which RDJ also dj'd @ Oxegen (see my (keyfumbler) other videos)

P.p.s.. that sheffield gig was the musical highlight of my life. For Squarepusher to drop the RDJ tracks AND mix in some older releases including Port Rhombus...... FANTASTIC!!!!
