Csound - How different is now compared to several years ago?

I'm popping up Csound after a number of years. I more or less last worked with it in 2004. We're at Csound5 now and I'm noticing some differences. I'm wondering if anyone else has experience in Csound past or present? If so, any opinions on Csound5 compared to previous versions? Anything major?

I haven't used csound since 2004. You've kind of got me curious to check it out again. I've started leaning Java programming so my mind is in that mode right now...
