restrepo [war documentary]

anybody seen this? watched it today. it's an extremely moving film, and also probably the most accurate representation of what war is really like that i've seen. when you're watching platoon or apocalypse now or whatever, it may be great filmmaking but when you see this documentary it's actually really happening. no special effects. real blood, real lives.

i was in tears for much of the last hour.

wow, hadn't heard of this until now, i'm gonna check it out.

I've wanted to watch it for quite awhile now, haven't been able to have an opportunity to view it however, not even through torrents and the like. I would definitely like to see it if it came to any theater in my area, however.

One war documentary I'm having trouble finding is this

I caught the last hour of this on NGC, was really interesting.

Yeah it was very very good. Again I am not proud to admit that I wish they got better combat footage. Next time they might have the money to put 32x zoom cameras on both sides guns to show people dieing better? aha it's terrible but yeah that would be exciting. (not obsessed with death but it would be intense amirite no?)

Just watched it, I thought it was very, very well done.

I haven't seen Restrepo, but I've heard it's somewhat similar to danish docu Armadillo, which is pretty ace. Well worth a watch.
