so.. how are you being festive? do you feel christmas magic?

It's weird because I usually spend 2 months hating Christmas and when it comes down to it I usually only celebrate Christmas for like 4-5 hours so this year I'm going to put my hatred away and see if I can make it through december without hating on Christmas.

i think this will be the first christmas i've spent without either my parents or my girlfriend's parents. so i think it'll just be me and my girl having a nice day together. plus i have a whole bunch of time off over christmas - with not a lot to do - so it'll be relaxing as FUCK.

as for gifts, i only ever buy stuff for my girlfriend (and this year i think i nailed it!), my parents never expect anything though i might at least show my appreciation by writing some classical guitar stuff for my dad. maybe i'll get something from etsy for my mum.

generally though, my favourite part about christmas is the sheer amount of socialising i get up to. a few years ago, in the two weeks before christmas i managed to get drunk every day. pretty good feat considering i was unemployed and single!

i chipped in on a laptop for my mom this year, best thing ever happened to her... gonna also get her an ext keyboard/mouse for christmas.
