Now, I'm not a religious man. In fact, in the words of Robert Kilroy-Silk, "I think they're all false". But I've got a prurient interest in the religious beliefs of high-quality musicians. So if you know any others, spin 'em out here. The more exotic and outlandish the better - Christians are ten-a-penny in Western music but if there's anyone whose love of Jesus is particularly surprising, do shed some light.

huh i didn't know low were mormons. weird. donny and marie are mormons (not surprising) and gladys knight converted a while back. i guess my parents saw her do some "soulful" renditions of the incredibly white and boring mormon hymns.

prince is a hardcore jehovah's witness now. no more partying like it's 1999 anymore for him... no more partying at all.

they're mormons alright. my friend went to see them a couple of weeks ago and they even closed off the concert with a "god bless". what's more, i read an interview with alan sparhawk where he talked about his struggles with cannabis and how he worries that he's setting a bad example to LDS youth. also, my housemate tom claims that he and mimi parker were married at the age of 14 - but take that with a grain of salt.

also, i heard that about prince. he's also a hardcore homophobe. he's a pretty disgusting human being, actually. and i never really liked his music.

"they are all false" doesn't mean anything if your subject is "religions". What religions say can be false but not religions themselves.

I believe major religions say true stuff in a metaphorical way.
