half hour challenge

not really sure if this goes in ekt or look what i made or whatever but it's more for fun than any sort of serious music making dealio SO

spend no more than 30 minutes making the basic outline of a television show theme

then make up the television show

or vice versa.

i'll start

the theme tune from COMPUTER SQUAD, a pilot filmed in 1981 that was passed over by every major network because, frankly, it was terrible.

i spent about 30-35 minutes on the track and then spent like 2 hours looking for a working .flv to .avi converter for the video, and the music doesn't even fit.

This animated cartoon which aired on pbs from '91-'92 focused on two Haitian youths in the urban scape of Miami. They used vodou tricks to outwit their fellow kids n teachers n stuff and the show included little facts about Haiti. It got a lot of hate from the Haitian community which said the show was a ridiculous and derogatory portrayal of Haitians, and the show was canceled after one of the writers, on vacation in Miami, was kidnapped by an underground gang and several of his fingers were cut off as a warning to the studio.

It's basically a super task force combiner mecha show made in Japan and redubbed by WEP for the US about a multiracial team of fixie bike hipsters who, upon combining their fixies into the ultrazord NOGRIP, can go back in time and not really do anything, but, like, not really do anything IN TUDOR ENGLAND *gasp*, ya dig?

There's a fat one and a black one and a useless kid one and a pink costume blonde girl one and one that is not really human but has so many human characteristics it might as well have been human. But he's the terrible personality one, so he had to be a cute animal or something otherwise he'd just basically be a jerk, but now he's FUN!

The mecha is awkward, the head is way too antropomorphic to be made from transformed, bike shafts, and for some reason uses to-scale pistols instead of, like, having gun-arms or something.

It's not very good, but is remembered fondly from childhoods.

i've got ableton and flstudio and a load of other crap on my pc, i just am not on my pc and this netbook can probably not handle much of anything... though my pc is not much more powerful than a netbook...
