What do you think about these album covers?

I'm currently working in a project involving IDM artists. And I would like to get your non-biased opinion.

they're all nice but i like the last one best because it's not obscured by the artist name and album title

2,3,5 and 7 are the best/better than the alternate versions.

does whomever the first two are for really need the catalogue number on the cover?

yeah worst part was the text. look at IDM album covers. very rarely is there a title, if if so, then it's small.

actually the last is really good, i like it's style but its' a tad bit too simple

4 and 7 were really good

looks like the hoody print of a chick i once dated in high school

i like number 5. the rest suck are not to my taste.

Yargh, the last one right? My favourite too.

I also agree that the text completely ruins it for me. 5 & 6 and perhaps even 1 would be great without the text and maybe had some extra finishing touches done on the artwork.

the last one's the best, by far, even if it's totally derivative of

frankly none of them are my style. and typography is definitely not your forté. just use small-point helvetica dude.

also, has anyone else noticed that we're being used for market research by an effin noob?

The two last designs are the best if you ask me.

The last one is pretty interesting and detailed, but I somehow really like the typography of the second last one. Seems to me like it should be the artwork for an IDM compilation record.

Last 3 are quite good, don't like any of the others. Too Now! XX if you know what I mean

2nd one without any writing and the last one. but yeah they are all kind of derivative which is fairly unavoidable.

I would choose the last one....

this. they look pretty generic. try to make something more unique / add a personal note. It looks as if the music does not sound very special / unique to you so you just create what people expect from something called IDM. but its all about a certain artist and not about a genre at all
