a brother of one of my best friends has a lot of cassette recordings that he made during a run from a radio station in Dallas Texas, ca early 90's, and this is the first of a series that we are going to be releasing....

the only thing is that we are not quite sure what any of the music is, so if you know, please do tell!

and do know, this is the hot shit!

and yes I knew about the Andromeda Strain from my friend's brother but that is all he knows about the tracklisting, mysterioso!

i swear the track starting at 10:20 is really familiar but i can't place it at all. i really like it, though.

Great stuff Atop! I'm curious, what station in DFW was it recorded for? It seems like something KOOP/KVRX would have the balls to play, or KTRU in Houston...

Not sure man...I can only imagine KNON 89.3 playing anything like this.

this won't help and is just coincidental but the part starting at 7:26 - some of the (pig?-) screams sound exactly like Heather Donahue's screams right before the ending of The Blair Witch Project. Thought it was funny.

Ah, I forgot about that station. Heard EBM and underground metal on that one a few times. TCU has a station but it's way too tame for anything beyond safe indie rock.

Last Friday, I spent like an hour wondering whether or not I should eat some old piece of Pizza I found in my oven. Being on a diet, I eventually decided against it, I gave it to my friends. On Sunday, we went to a bridge in my town to shoot a scene for a film.

Now I watch this video, explicitly reflecting my thought process on the consumption of said piece of pizza, and then - like that wouldn't be weird enough on its own - I see that bridge at 0:30 - That's THE bridge, my town, in the 80's. WHAT THE?!
