OK, so this might belong in EKT, but it was a pretty unique synthesizer trailer... so I thought I'd share it here.

wow that's so unnecessarily high budget, and yet they haven't come out with a decent audio demo yet?!?!?!

can't say i'm not feeling the urge to get one though, probably because of my elektron fanboyism

that was ridiculous. what a stupid waste of money.

i love how they had enough time & budget to do this wank, but not enough to even complete the octatracks effects system before release.

i fucking hate hype, and this is getting dangerously into Teenage Engineering OP-1 territory. i'll wait until the hardware is mature & there are some real reviews & demos out there before making any decisions on this thing.

Still no word on what this Octarack offers beyond the already wicked power of the machine drum/monomachine. I was impressed with this jam--maybe my favorite on YouTube although that's no big victory since there is so much drivel out there. It's a good reminder that the gear doesn't make the music.

that's a really nice little monomachine performance! Some of the stuff i see on youtube just blows away the stuff i've seen come out of the official Elektron camp. I just got a copy of the new comp that was put out by the Elektron users forum, with the exception of 1 or 2 tracks it doesn't really demonstrate the power or the uniqueness of the equipment very much. I only know one guy who can rock a machinedrum like the guy in that video, Jay fields/Exillon (although i haven't actually SEEN futureimage do his thing, wouldnt be surprised if he can improvise like this)

these trailers, like all of elektron's promotional material, are stomach-churningly awful...

but the fact is they make good hardware, my housemate's ordered the octatrack and apparently they've started shipping. quite looking forward to having a play with this.

pity the elektron guy died. looks like they're pretty thoroughly polaroiding themselves now (founder dies, company coasts on founders' innovation for a few years, then dries up).

In the first post that is the worst advertising for a "music machine" I saw in my whole life. What a waste of effort and lifetime. What stoopid idea... What a wurst. But I am interested in the music in the post above me.

did some OCD mod move this thread into gear box? is 'gear box' not a for sale/want to buy forum anymore? wtf?

I think the vid is fake at best and we've already had an Octatrack thread where it should be.

Why is it in every Octatrack vid I've seen there seems to be a lot of 'looking busy' with not much actually going on?
