Ok, i'll say something...

An AFX live show is usually backed by lasers, strobes, animal p0rn videos and AFX face recognition software.

An autechre live show is backed by complete darkness.

Therefore, there is nothing to record. You might be able to see a few LEDs on pieces of kit, or other peoples cameras also trying to record darkness, but its a waste of time. Just enjoy the gig instead.

I can understand your partial "surely not" attitude towards the whole blackness thing. Part of me didn't believe they performed each (indoor) show in total darkness... until I saw them. Seriously, unless you want to watch some sporadic camera flashes, some very faint LEDs flashing and an illuminated fire exit sign for an hour, there is no point in a live Ae video.

there's no reason for visuals. it would really ruin the whole mood for me.

i disagree with you about the soundboard (Glasgow im assuming). that shit is balls to the wall awesome. in my head i consider it a parallel release with untilted. of course, you have to listen to it loud. but this isn't the thread for that.

Yeah that pretty much sums up the Birmingham show. I'm glad I went - it was the most intense bass attack I've ever heard - but musically it was a little lacking I felt.

I was there and it was a good set sadly let down by an totally insufficient PA! No shit it probably sounds better on your computer monitors than it did in the venue.

Does indeed sound like it was a mad show. And the sound quality on the vids is surprisingly good considering how loud they play
