Although this is probably not the right place to get into a discussion like this, i think you are simplifying things a bit here.

A parent is not necessarily a bad parent if he/she does drugs.

It's got to do with at what time they do it and how/if they confront their kid with it.

If you are babysitting you are the person who has to look after and is responsible for the kid at that time, that's why you are asked to babysit.

This enables the parents to drink and smoke pot/go out etc, because there is somebody who is sober looking after their kid...

being a bit stoned and drunk is fine when babysitting kids.. but not babies
