Stacey Rozich did the album art, and she also worked on the video. http://blog.staceyrozich.com/

edit: fuck yeah, part 2

I just bought a limited edition print of hers this morning for my girlfriend as a christmas gift. I met Stacey through her over the summer and ran into her at a wedding two weeks ago. She's very nice and does great work. I love both of the Earth covers.

I wanted to buy a print half an hour ago, but they were sold out. Or am I mistaken?

Sold out. There were 10 of each posted on the blog, 3 of the second one were left this morning after or before I bought. Glad I didn't hesitate too long!

If you're interested in a less exclusive digital but equally cool print, go here.

hey dudes I just got this one and it's really good... I'm kinda new to Earth (I've only heard Earth2)... Where should I start to appreciate Earth much more?

There's not a whole lot. Earth 2, Hex, Hibernaculum, The Bees Made Honey in the Lion's Skull, and Angels of Darkness are my favorites. Everything from Hex on has the newer "clean" sound. Earth 2 is the droniest.

Earth really got much more consistent after Dylan cleaned up (circa Hex). The mid 90s stuff (after Earth 2) isn't that great, imo. Pentastar is more stoner rock than any other Earth album, and for some reason I never listen to Phase 3: Thrones and Dominions -- the production just feels off, but it has its moments. Earth 2 is an absolute classic, though.

I strongly recommend Hex. It's one of my very favorite albums of the last decade
