This looks ridiculously cool. Wish I had the funds to go. Best of luck placidburp, you make quality tunes hermano.

Thanks a lot! :)

Which airport is ideal to fly into this area?

Plitvice isnt the easiest place to get to. So best check if the people running it are laying on some sort of bus thing, unless youre driving, then you could pretty much go from Zagreb, Krk or Trieste.

End of August isnt a good time for me, but i'll definitely look into it.

Would love to go to this actually but when I checked a few weeks ago, a round trip flight to Croatia was over $3,000 USD. But maybe that's because flying into Croatia is expensive and it would be better to fly somewhere bigger and take a bus like the previous poster mentioned.

Someone on the FB Event Page said that the cheapest airport to get to is Zadar?

Sounds silly, but would it not be cheaper to fly to London or Manchester and then fly from there? Not checked out the prices just yet, but I can't imagine them being that expensive from here. I'll have a quick look.

Had a look on skyscanner.net and from Manchester flights start from £213, from London there is one at £127!! Thats return flights too! Much cheaper than I expected!

Thing is though, not sure how far it is from Zadar airport to the actual place though. Though if there was enough of us, I'm sure we could organise a bus or coach or summink? WATMM BUS HOLIDAY...no? K...

Its pretty much equidistant to Zagreb. If youre driving you could go to Slovenia or North Italy, were theyll be more and cheaper flights than Zadar and it'll only add about 40/60 mins onto the journey.

Sorry im not up for driving the bus, if I go i'll turn it into a week or so holiday=)

I am blown away! I am extremely excited to be playing in such a beautiful place with so many amazing artists!!

Can we walk in the waterfalls? anyone ???

also, what will you guys do with your gear while not on stage? Some waterproof cases and a bike lock might be safer than leaving them in a hotel room miles away?

I've been at Plitvice twice before. Beautiful area indeed.

I like the location and line-up, suggested this too some friends as a summer trip.

Last time I went to Plivice you could walk pretty much everywhere you wanted, the paths through the park were in a bad state back then. This is a long time ago (a few years after the war) though, might be more restricted now. As far as I can remember, there are also some zones where you could have a swim.

Looks like they updated the location to somewhere even greener. Now if someone in the know could just tell me what the most efficient and cost effective way to get there from California might be, I could look into how much the trip would cost.

I pulled out of this, looks like the whole event is going tits up. I have to pay them for the airfare, the shady hucksters!

You are fucking kidding me?! That is unbelievable! I forgot about this thread, I should just close it seeing as thats the way the festival is going. So glad I'm not going now!
