I thought it was just that all imagery of the 80's was jocks vs. nerds. Just like Nickelodeon was obsessed with kids vs. adults which probably was done with good intentions but literally probably caused columbine or something

god i wouldn't doubt it's authenticity, mostly because of the time period....old video game commercials (80's and 90's) were just like that. yet video games were still so much cooler at the time.

video games used to be so cool, just in general. to everyone it seems like. now it's like you're looked down upon for it. really lost it's coolness
