I just ordered Thomas Köner's 3CD boxset and Leyland Kirby's Sadly, The Future Is No Longer What It Was on 3CD for less than £30 in total. :ok:

It's just too bad the discounts are so focused on Type, though.

Is that not because Type are run by Boomkat or affiliated in some way at least? I'm sure Xela became part of the Boomkat fold around the time he did the Selected Mixtape for them. I think Modern Love is related in some way also which why you often tend to see that stuff regularly when they do a sale.

Off for a look now...

John runs Type by himself, but he does do reviews for Boomkat.

Some nice stuff in this sale. I'm considering the Edward Williams BBC soundtrack and the Svarte Greiner album. Is that Leyland Kirby box set that good?

It sure is, you really need to be in the right frame of mind to tackle it though, and don't try doing all 3 CDs in one sitting or you'll probably go mental. Luckily I managed to get them on 12'', the artwork for each of them is beautiful - in fact I'd love to hang the trilogy on the wall if I ever find a decent frame for them. But yeah definitely at the current price give it a go!

I haven't eaten a Wagon Wheel since 07/11/07... ilovecubus.co.uk - 25ml of mp3 taken twice daily.

Unfortunately it means that they probably have a lot of extra Type stock sitting around. Maybe not I guess.

I'm gutted because for like 12 hours right after the very first sale email most of the B12 Archives stuff was up there for stupid low prices, but I didn't order in time.

He doesn't do reviews for Boomkat anymore I don't think. He moved to Boston over a year ago and is working for Forced Exposure last I heard.

He still does reviews. In a conversation I had with him:

"a load of barely memorable shit from boomkat... i review about 15-20 things a day so it's almost inconsequential which artists they are - the thing that makes it bearable is that some of the records are great."

Picked up:

Scott Tuma - Dandelion (Expanded)

Edward Williams - Life On Earth - Music From The 1979 BBC TV Series

Leyland Kirby - Sadly, The Future Is No Longer What It Was (Deluxe Triple CD Edition)

Such a bummer that shipping came out to 10 dollars...
