Do you know of simple computer programs?

I just remembered how much I hated thinks like Fruity Loops and Reason, because THEY WERE SO BIG AND FORMATTED.

Does anyone know of simple, plain-clothed Windows programs? Like Cool Edit 96/2000? But not for recording?

ulead video editor, really simple for audio:as it shows presise measuring and you can see when your clip is gonna fade out etc... reallyeasy and effective trust me, either you can use loops and layer then so to speak, or build drum patterns in the time line...easy
