Redruth
Thomas Fehlmann - Titan One Quote Berlin electronic music veteran Thomas Fehlmann is serving up an interpretation of Gustav Mahler's Symphony No.1 (Titan). The release – a 12″ pressing from Kompakt that is limited to 600 copies – was inspired by a live performance by Fehlmann and the Montreal Symphony Orchestra that took place at the historic Molson Coors Brewery on October 16, 2010. The Mahler piece has been rechristened ‘Titan One’ for this shimmering electro-acoustic version, and it’s backed with a new recording of Fehlmann’s 2006 track ‘Du Fehlst Mir’. kompakt thomas fehlmann Edited February 4, 2011 by troon Thanks Haha Confused Sad Facepalm Burger Farnsworth Big Brain Like × Quote Link to comment https://forum.watmm.com/topic/63043-thomas-fehlmann-titan-one/ Share on other sites

Guest Enter a new display name
I was considering seeing his performance with the Montreal Symphony Orchestra but the circumstances back then made me not attend it. :( Quote Link to comment https://forum.watmm.com/topic/63043-thomas-fehlmann-titan-one/#findComment-1497673 Share on other sites

mcbpete
Just listened to the 12'' now - a really great release BTW - What speed are these meant to be played at, I'm 99% sure side B is played at 45 but I really have no idea about side A. Listening to the Boomkat samples it sounds like they've got it recorded at 45 but several sections sound way too fast at that speed (and the sound of the audience at the endsounds wrong too), but it also sounds a little too slow at 33 as well ?!
