Downloads Section

I registered at WATMM because of this section. It's been gone for I don't know how long.

It's been a dryyyyyyy 6+ months here. Bringing back the downloads section would make this place a lot cooler.

Too much bandwidth. Give Joyrex a lot of money and maybe it'll come back or something.

It was removed when we switched to a more stable host, which unfortunately does not provide massive amounts of server space like other hosts who 'oversell' their bandwidth and server space. I'm looking at bringing it back soon though, as I might bite the bullet and upgrade the server space and absorb some of the costs for that myself.

I joined up to access the downloads section aswell. there was a lot of good stuff there and it was easy to find.. a lot easier than searching the rest of the net for stuff.

Have you thought about any other options that don't require you to shell out any extra cash out of pocket? Like maybe just offering torrents rather than direct downloads? Is that already happening somewhere?

My guess was it got removed due to complaints by the artists or something. So the server space thing is kinda good news for me.

I would pay for that too. Name a yearly price Joy Rex and when enough people are it bring them online for these subscribers that are willing to pay for it. When people stop paying they can't access the files so the traffic will decrease accordingly. No risk of unpredictable costs in there for you

YEah, torrents are the way to go.. I'd help seed them to keep the downloads alive. No servercost, and we can share as much as we want.
