drinking hot water

my studio/office/cave is the basement of the house, and it gets cold+dry. i was drinking shitloads of tea just for the warmth; for my throat. then i realized i didn't even want tea, and started heating up filtered water instead. it's tite, and every time i do it i wonder why no one else ever fucking does this! is it mental conditioning? failure to think outside the box? i can understand not wanting hot tap water due to taste, but in this day we have microwaves and brita pitchers. and you can add a bit of mint or lemon or something...

similarly, i see people drinking soda simply because they're thirsty. if you WANT a soda, perfect. go for it. but america is fat due to drinking soda when they mean to drink water.

help me understand, daddy watmm.

i think what i actually need is a humidifier!!! but that's all the way at sears and water is merely upstairs.

yes that is true, but what i meant to imply is that soda can make a person both fat and/or diabetic

I'll reuse a tea bag for several cups, but after 3 it just turns into hot water. I'll keep drinking it anyway

I like to drink tea in the morning when its cold but if I'm to lazy to make tea I have one thesejust mix some cold water with hot water and drink me some warm water.

nothing wrong with a bit of hot water to drink. I pretty much only drink coffee and water unless I'm drinking booze, and not too much coffee.

If I drink water, I usually drink it cold. As cold as possible, you can waste a few calorie by drinking cold water. Im not saying I need it but ya'know who cant afford to lose a few calories?

when i drink water i tend to drink as cold as possible. i find it more thirst quenching and refreshing. maybe i'll give this hot water thing a try.

I have one of those water coolers that heats water too, and I've definitely considered just drinking the hot water plain. But I always end up making it into tea since I have to let it cool anyway. I guess I could just mix in a bit of cool water though...

Excessive white trash carb sodas etc. are a large part of whats making people fat, some people consume more than the calories they need just with sodas, coffee, added sugar in beverages alone. I wish I had realized this when I was drinking fucking cases of Mountain Dew with my friends when I was 11-15, no wonder I gained so much weight even though I was getting plenty of exercise in sports & everyday tom foolery.

I've recently rediscovered the magic of tea. I love it. I haven't had coffee in a couple of weeks. Tea is so warm and tasty and it is less prone to giving me heartburn. I want to do the hot water thing but right now i am enjoying tea far too much.
