Incredible!

I was trying to figure out which Akai box that was and I kept tripping because the top looked red from the side, thought it was an MPC for a bit. lol'ed when they just say Flying Lotus (laptop) at the end for his instrument.

Good stuff

I can't really express how 'right' this feels...I've listened to my fair share of scandinavian bleep bloop jazz, but this seems to be a fitting example of electronic music making its way back to jazz, fuck that doesn't make sense, i'm rambling;

-in the late 80's, 90's n early 2k, electronic music touched jazz and spawned some subgenres (acid jazz, new jack swing, jan jelinek-y stuff)

-what my brain is telling me is happening here is that the creative and mutative mindset that 'wonky/beatmusic' has fostered represents the coming renewal/mutation of jazz (from what I would call a marginalization) and the appreciation of musicians (who play INSTRUMENTS in stuff other than indie rock and metal) to the music scene.

-I'm just ranting. But I think if FlyLo (who just a year or two ago was pretty much confined to the 'experimental hiphop' vein) can successfully collaborate with instrumentalists on live performances, the much-awaited live component to 'masterful electronically produced art music' has a chance for developing into a cross-scene phenomenon.

-that was shittily worded

this is awesome
