yeah i just checked this out, sounds cool

a bit expensive though, £14.99 for a 1xLP? it'd better be 180gram for that price.

edit: oh right, and the vinyl doesn't even have the whole release on it? that's me not buying it then

three more releases in the pipeline

r-n128 anne-james chaton. événements 09 (cd + booklet)

r-n132 alva noto + ryuichi sakamoto

awwww yeah. i always kinda mentally file dataplex and unitxt together so this is an excellent collab.

they need to form a supergroup with mark fell.

Yeah seriously wtf. 13 minutes of music on the vinyl edition? I was looking forward to getting me some brand new Ryoji Ikeda but this is pretty steep.

But the samples are fucking wicked

I second. I have never felt in love with a Raster-Noton release before. Unitxt fans will love this!

ARGH I pre-ordered this from Boomkat, then they sent me an email a couple of days after release that they had run out of stock so I'm waiting on them for my R-N fix. Don't understand how they ran out of stock even if I pre-ordered but oh well....

Has anyone besides myself run this through an X/Y scope? It adds such an immense visual component to the work that makes it excel beyond just the audio. Don't get me wrong, the audio itself is brilliant, but with the visuals it's mindblowing. I was totally speechless first time I watched it.

Finally got this and holy shit is it incredible. Everyone must run this through an x/y scope! It's boggling my mind thinking about how they put this together to get the visuals to represent the audio so well. Also this release is a great endorsement for the benefits of lossless audio.

that's kind of Ryoji Ikeda's whole focus now, is making visually good looking waveforms to make music out of. he's pretty amazing at it. I still haven't checked this out but i will soon. What x/y scope are you guys running this through?

I ran it through an actual oscilloscope...

This CD is mind bending. Brilliant stuff.

This will sound stupid, but I am a little put off by the emphasis on the visual aspect in the press stuff surrounding this release. I feel like I'm only getting half the experience, or something.

Still, great sounds! :)
