Mixcloud

Anyone on WATMM a member? Just tried it out and I love that it provides unlimited uploads. Soundcloud is a better player overall, but the space limitations on the basic account are annoying. Pretty cool that you can archive hours of music on this and have a timestamped tracklist. Tagging by artist is very cool too.

Yeah, it is annoying, I'll admit, but you can just host the file on Mediafire or something and put it in the description. Pretty easy workaround.

does it over any advantages over soundcloud besides being free?

I personally prefer the layout and how it works, it might not be to everyones taste. Genuine advantages i couldn't say. I'm still going to use both of them.

This is just for uploading your own stuff right?

No upload limit and I like the social networking features better. Downsides are no downloads (although you can post your own link in the description) and slow load time so you can't jump around and preview a mix. It encourages people to sit through the whole mix which is good but people may get impatient and not listen at all, which is bad.

Hello! Here's mine, I literally just uploaded my first mix in ages. Would be honoured if some of you could check it out. Slow motion, spaced out dusty house melancholic type vibes. Plus there's a mix from one of my sets at Bangface there and another bit too :)

I'm a big fan of Mixcloud, I prefer it loads to Soundcloud. Downloading would be tremendously good to implement though
