Jerky Oats is proud to present Für Alali by Cubus, the fourth in the Lemony Nougat

series of ambient and drone releases on 3" CDr.

In two parts, Für Alali treats the listener to slow moving, brooding ambience,

beginning with minimalist drone but working its way up to a truly heartbreaking

piano section, before slowly filtering away to nothingness once more. A true

masterpiece of haunting mood music, Für Alali's subtleties were brought to the fore

by Christopher Leary at Melograf Mastering.

This is by far the release I'm most proud of having composed (is that grammatically correct ?!). Everything seemed to come together perfectly for me, seemingly from nowhere and so quickly (well it took just over a month, but hey I likes to takes my time !). It's a tribute to both Arvo Part (hence the 'similar' titling and sound to a certain release by him) and to someone close to me who led my life in rather peculiar and unexpected directions last year. I hope you enjoy it, the basis behind the piece means a considerable amount to me and I hope that's reflected in the music.

I want to thank Ross Baker for letting me take part in this project, and Chris Leary (Ochre) for doing a sterling job in mastering it.

Seriously, thank you Pete for doing something so great for the project! I started this whole thing as a way to put out a few little CDs by friends and it seems everybody so far has exceeded expectations in terms of quality. One of the best things I've heard in a long time and I'm very proud to be releasing it. I sliced my finger open on a scalpel cutting the card and threw five away through misspelling it Alili but it's all been worth it, haha. :)

Yeah it's only 2 quid, the bit in the photo you can see at the bottom actually says 'of 20', as each one is hand numbered. Not sure about how you managed to order though - perhaps it's a pre-order and will be dispatched on the first... I'll leave purlieu to answer that one.

The discs cost two pounds, can be ordered already and will be shipped as of tomorrow so they should arrive on the 2nd (I only have 2nd class stamps currently so yous'll have to wait).

Also, if something is £20 and it comes up as £2 when you click order, my advice is NEVER QUESTION IT.
