RPM 2011!!!!!!!

I figured I do my annual check to see if anyone is doing RPM this year:

Is there a competition or is it just for the craic? cause Ill probably do it anyway.

Its for when you meet musicians for the rest of the year and they are talking about how they are forming a band but have no songs yet you can say "Well i wrote an album in February" which makes them feel bad and probably quit the band overdose etc.

 

That and the reward of finishing music which people don't do a lot.

I'm going to be really busy this month, but I'll think about doing it. I could at least make a compilation of baroque-esque tunes.

Holy shit! I'm doing the same thing this month.

it's quite refreshing. as you may be able to tell though, i kinda lost momentum towards the end.

I really want to do this, but I'm running low on cash and will be buying a new computer this month as well, so I need to work. I might still pick it up though if my tax refund ends up helping a lot.

 

We'll see.

Definitely doing this, already one track in.

I did a couple tracks the other day of simple four part harmonies. I guess I'll give it a shot.

So far this is not going well. I haven't started putting together my studio, and I have no music softs installed on my laptop. Maybe I'll end up recording 35 minutes of me mucking about with a montron while on the shitter the very last day.

Ive already done 2 tracks this month - maybe ill give it a shot

 

Sweet - im gonna do the 35 minute blind chaos challenge, I have already been working on a longer track

I'm 4 songs in, be it i'm a bit ahead. I'm trying to finish up most of my "compositional" aspects 10 days early so I have time to tweak and torture

Should the album have an overall theme and sound and be designed from end to end, or should it just be a collection of tracks one happened to make?
