I was wondering if anyone here has a clue as to what is blazing there in the background.

 

Watched a Kino bonus feature on the Criterion release of Stranger Than Paradise on the subject of Jarmusch's film Permanent Vacation.

Here, Chris Parker, the lead, is visited at home by Jarmusch. Parker explains his paintings.

 

The intense vibe on the radio in the apartment caught my attention. Kind of a Parrish-Herbie thing. The year in 1984.

 

Any help identifying this music is appreciated greatly.
