Berk
I dunno man, I don't believe it's that cheap. Maybe you're mistaking it for an MC-4 or the like? This is just a fully digital MIDI sequencer, only MIDI outs I think, no CV/Gate or anything. I have a Kawai Q80 which I bought for 40 euros and it's not that different. Wouldn't pay more than 100 dollars or something for this. Berk
Yeah, on ebay the prices are sometimes simply absurd. soundwave
just because it has Roland on it doesn't mean its good, there's plenty of old music gear out there which is simply obsolete and that are more hard work to use than freeware Thanks Haha Confused Sad Facepalm Burger Farnsworth Big Brain Like × Quote Link to comment https://forum.watmm.com/topic/63469-roland-sequencer/#findComment-1508158 Share on other sites
BCM
MC-500 is a fantastic and very accurate sequencer, but you need to hook it up to a keyboard to play in the notes you want to sequence...it is more of a sequence recorder than stand alone sequencer...it may have a step sequence mode usable without a keyboard, but if it has it would be a right ball ache. they usually sell for £100 or less so $165 is top end price wise. Retape
I think DMX (krew) used one of these prior to getting an MPC. impakt
I had one that I used some years ago. It is very cumbersome, but good if you get the hang of it. I sold it though. Guest chelsea303
I've got one lying around somewhere, boxed with manuals etc... The step sequencer mode is wicked I think, super tight timing and really fun to waste time on, but can be awkward! I've heard through the grapevine that the rhythm sequencer is the same as the 909's...
