I listened to both your posted tracks, I like them. I can't give you that much feedback regarding the production bit as I've never created anything with vocals or beats myself, but I feel both tracks could do with a little more "intensity" on the instrumental side, not the composition, just the mastering, regarding EQ. At 1:10, when the beat kicks in, it's a tad too soft/liquid sounding for me. Could well be a little harsher on the ear, a little clearer maybe, meaning the mid/high frequencies could come through a little more.

I'm listening on relatively cheap (but quite decent) headphones, I don't know how it sounds on a speaker system. Could be difficult not to loose the clarity of the voice when fondling the EQ on the beats.

Very nice production! It sounds very nice but I was you I would recreate the music-box melody with real music-box samples to get that rustic and raw sounds.

The part I like the best is right after the break at 1:55 and that part should be longer.
