A 'new' Heavy Rocks... which shares some songs from "New Album" and "Attention Please"... okay. Now I'm lost dudes. I'm wondering if the 2002 Heavy Rocks is still coming to wax via Southern Lord...

*HEADFUCKED*

New Album is the one coming out on Daymare in March. There is also a collaboration with Merbow called Klatter and one between Atsuo and Stephen O'Malley on Inoxia called Uroborus Circuit. I was also under the impression that Southern Lord would be releasing the vinyl version of Heavy Rocks (the 2002 one, not the new one).

this band came highly recommended to me recently. Wasn't it someone off Watmm who said the best ambient song they have ever heard is some epic thing by Boris? Either that or a side project of one fo the guys from Boris. I'm curious to hear this song and hear me some Boris

thing about boris is they release all sorts of stuff. they've done a noise album with merzbow, a pile of excellent garage rock, a doom metal album with sunn o))), an ambient-ish album...

generally if it's a 'BORIS' release, it's rock-ish, but if it's a 'boris' release it's more experimental iirc.

and yes, they are very, very good.

Holy crap I love it. It's like Boris doing a song for Katamari Damacy. Totally unexpected from them but I am loving the shit out of this.

maybe that was me, love them & love that Leviathan track posted here. not sure it will be your cup of tea tho. obviously one of the strongest band around. they're like some multiple heads entity (drone metal sludge meets ambient doom stoner jpop noise rock psychedelic etc etc)
