tDR has been resurrected as a smaller outfit, much like how it began. It will be interesting to see how they stand out from the sea of design out there now.

I think so.

You have to bear in mind that The Designers Republic were / are based in Sheffield. Sheffield is famous for its steel production. It's pretty common to find a knife or fork bearing the mark "MADE IN SHEFFIELD". Just as, say, Forgemasters used this steel-forging heritage in their band name, the Designers Republic used it in their slogans.
