scariest, most imaginative film of all time? in my mind, it is. the memories I have from childhood of certain parts of this film...are so beyond anything else. specifically the elevator and the potion that they make at the end.

 

pure surreal imagination.

 

not to mention the message is great... anti authoritarian pro free thinking

 

 

 

oh yeah, it was written by Dr. Suess if you didn't know already. he got pissed about it but it still is a great film. i can see that it isn't totally perfect... it's still the best kids movie of all time IMO.

 

A lot like Wizard of Oz but I prefer it for the aforementioned memory fuel.

i posted that link as a favor to anyone who happened to have not already known what i was talking about. i'm far less interested in hearing people say the inevitable "this is gay vamos is a retard" after watching ten seconds before losing interest, flipping to porno, and turning on Move of Ten for the 5000th time than i am reminiscing with other people who saw it as a kid.

this movie has a way of existing in your subconscious for years without you thinking about it at all. and every time you remember it it's still as bizarre and special as before.
