pretty talented chap. some of the over sexual stuff is a little too intense for me, but like all the old alien designs, fucking wicked. i like his "landscapes" too. he also makes wicked furniture and there are giger "bars" with this furniture where you can go to drink. i'm sure it's all scary goths type, but:

he's good, yeah. also, i see nothing wrong with his sexually themed work. it is art.

Aha, yeah I keep wanting to buy that Taschen one (I love all the Taschen–25 art books), but I agree that some of it's a little too intense for me to like, really enjoy browsing or anything. That's a lovely and very affordable book though.

Sometime ago when I was late teens/early 20's I had about 6 of his prints on my bedroom wall.

Yeah I like my dark imagery but I am on the whole a cheeful bloke, for some reason for many weeks I found myself in a dark, sullen mood which just would not shift. I realised the timing of the moods with the framing of the prints that were on my walls. The images were effecting me throughout the day, even though I wasn't at home. No doubt about it. On taking them down a few days later I reverted back to my normal self.

His art is powerful stuff. And best in moderation.

the man's great and he's insane. I have a video of him talking about his work in general, some of the stuff he says is quite disturbing. Like how he'd show his mother his works and when she says it's too sexual, "I feel shame and go change"

By the way, it's pronounced "Geeger", not like the Geiger counter. Most people seem to not know about this.
