Ideas for future software releases. All purchasers of the 3P Upgrade will be notified of available updates.

 

• Sync’d LFO square wave forms

• Noise waveform from LFO for noise DCO mod (the programmable dividers may not handle this)

• The ability to use a MKS-30 as a slave unit for a 12 voice synth (after the MKS-30 Upgrade is complete)

• If you have any ideas for extra goodies please let us know. Many of the release 1 ideas came from input. The provisional user manual v1.6 can be downloaded from here. Note this is changing as sections are completed.

 

The kit will be a small replacement board for the 3P CPU (IC 44). It will require removing the CPU and replacing it with a 40pin socket which will be supplied with the kit. This needs to be done with good desoldering equipment by a competent technician so that the 3P board is not damaged. Instructions are supplied in the user guide.

 

A kit has also being developed to control the Chorus speed which is able to be controlled and saved from the 3P patch settings.

JX3P is a truly awesome synth...I prefer it to a Juno 106 in many ways...

I wish I had some cash right now, because I am way interested in this. My JX-3p is a fucking amazing and versatile tool, and if I could make it even more so, it would be really fantastic.

Also, worth saying, the #1 feature I am interested in most here is the portamento. This thing has the sound of a great mono synth if you tweak it right, but it's desperately missing out on glide/portamento.
