Question for Logic users

Could someone provide a sample of how the native bitcrusher in logic sounds, i hear everyone say that it is great but cant find any samples anywhere. I am on pc and dont have logic. Any help would be appreciated.

i bypassed the filters so i could temporarily view youtube, that was pretty disappointing , i was hoping for something more that showed why exactly ppl tout this as being a great bitcrusher, i.e. what makes it better than other ones

It's not a very dynamic example, I have to admit.

Some of the nicer features the plugin has that I do not see in other bit-reducers are three modes that modulate the waveform in simple ways, like inverting the waveform at the point of rectification or subtracting 1 from the amplitude value of any parts of the wave that may be rectified by the bit reduction. There's a nice graphical display that shows these processes and they end up providing some nice colors to the distortion process that you won't get from simply reducing the sample/bit-rate.

Also: Youtube. Here is the only video I can find that doesn't seem to be made by someone who smoked one to the face before making the video.

i'm not that big on it but i use it sometimes. the different waveform mods are cool. i like downsampling in max more.

It's fine, but not worth buying a mac and logic studio for it...

damn. weird. the bitcrusher is weird. i mean, the logic one. i see that picture and i feel a conncetion to that piece of software. memories. haven't used that piece of software in a long time.

it's not special at all, but maybe i just don't like the bitcrusher sound very much.

im actually looking to get this specific bitcrusher-like sound ive heard some ppl use and i thought it was just cause they were using the native logic one but i was never sure cause i never got a chance to hear the logic one or play around with it. bitcrusher by itself is the new flange overused and boring just wish i could figure out how to get that other sound.
