Charlie Sheen's Mind on Drugs

This is my second experimentation in Ableton Live, I used a VST for this short track. I'm still completely confused on how to use automation as well as creating a good bass line and such (not sure what all instruments do).

I just did the following using FM8 and messing around with some knobs of which I can't remember the names.

Need help with bass and drum lines, if people have tips or are willing to help, I would be mucho appreciated.
