Should I get the Akai MPK 25, or the Novation 25SL MKII?

I want to spend, max $300-350.

To work with Live.

Thanks

To work with in a live set, or in ableton live? Lol =P

If live set, I don't know, which one feels nicer to you? I think it's a matter of preference. Also, how often would you use the keyboard? I don't know how I feel about these "jack of all trades" controllers because for me at least, I wouldn't use a lot of it. My MIDI controller is just a bunch of knobs and sliders, which is what I like to use a lot, and then I have a seperate keyboard for when I want to fuck around. The drum pad thing is cool but for crazy IDM drum sequencing I don't know if recording drum hits live would work well...

Either way good luck, both seem nice, I would just go to the store and see which one feels more natural to you and go with that one. Because unless one of them has some fancy feature a MIDI controller will work with your software the same way no matter what brand it is.
