I'm kind of a video game music nazi/purist. It actually makes me cringe when someone asks for '8-bit' and lots of responses are 16-bit or later period sounding VG music (i know im a nazi). Also i'm huge into the original music for videogames, but very few artists (new oens) actually can channel that old videogame sound with style. Too often its just a normal electronic song with 8-bit percussion

this OST is my favorite modern 8-bit because its literally the best thing i've heard capture the best 8bit music ever made, mega man. It was done in 2008 by capcom
