I liked the first album for a bit but it started to irritate me fairly quickly, or at least her vocals did. I like Bizness though, think I'll give Bird-Brains another go to see if it clicks this time.

that would be cool if the musical phrases were more satisfying, if the drum programming was less white (i can't think of a way to describe this type of drum sequencing, other than that it's amateurish and awkwardly over-quantized), and if the vocals were totally different. there's a good wank and a bad wank—to me, this is a bad wank.

edit: and let me say, this isn't necessarily awful music, just REALLY not my cup of tea. it's a little too pitchforkian, dirty philly/olympia indie for me.
